East Walker River
This is one of the top brown trout streams in the United States. The fish are there and a lot of fish for that matter. Some of the biggest trout is caught here on a regular basis. However, the fish has seen many fly fishers day after day. As a result, they have learnt most of the tricks and won’t be an easy pray. With that said, this is a difficult stream for someone just starting out; however, this place is that more exciting and challenging for a skilled fly fisher. It really takes skills, unique approach, and patience to catch a fish here, but the number of big brown trouts that live in the East Walker makes it all worth the effort. The fishing is best when the water flows about 200 cubic feet a second. You will find most people fishing between the Bridgeport Reservoir dam and about a mile downstream from there.
